This 2 part series was absolutely amazing! You got 2 stories for the price of one in this 2 book series. Who wouldn't like a hot spanish alpha male?! This story had romance, mystery, revenge, real dynamics that go on in families and lots of love and passion at its best and worst. This IR was fun to read because it wan't just about one couple but more like 3 and how communication is key. I loved that the woman was strong and heard some truths that she refused to acknowledge until later. This author did a wonderful job of not making the heroine week and pathetic. The love scenes were hot and not over the top. Ot had some love at first sight for one couple and a longer more drama field love story for the main characters. I highly recommend buying both books and reading them close together to get the full impact. I actually had to go back and read some of the first book Scenes to steal the heart to know where everything left off, but I remembered the story pretty quickly. It would have been 5 stars if there would have been more to the ending. Even though there was an epilogue, it ended without finding out what happened to the stalker besides being arrested and other decisions that could have made this a real gem. I loved both of the books in this series. characters were believable and interesting. Toys, you could become another one of my favorite authors. Keep up the good work
Things are almost never what they seem & sometimes that is a great thing. When a strong man knows the power a truly great woman can give him he will not settle for less
I enjoyed part deux. It was funny and a little steamy at the start, but, over all it was highly fictional. The heroine did some stupid stuff at the end making it seem like the author was fighting for thoughts on how to end the story.
This book was absolutely wonderful. It stole my heart! I skipped over this book and part 1 for months, not believing it was worth the time. I was so wrong! I loved every minute of both theses books and it was way better that I could have imagined.
The only thing I didn like was that it is not another book. I would live to know if they ever had kids etc
We were introduced to two characters in Scenes to Steal the Heart, Carlos and Danielle, an unlikely pairing which made for an interesting concept. However, the "Final Act" picks up with the same unresolved issues that the reader left in "Scenes." The issues drag on and on until the predictable ending chapters of the book. All is well that ends well, I guess. The story line and dialogue became unimaginative...and well, corny. Carlos meets Danielle in "Scenes" as his security and learns that she is on track to becoming a detective. Yet in "Final" he goes through the entire book leaving her in the dark to keep her secure? Huh? I can't say it was worth the wait but after reading "Scenes" it was good to find out in "Final Act" where the characters ended.
This is a sequel and written more in the vein of how I knw Ms. Lawson to write. it was great! I read this sequel to put a close to the realtionship between Danielle and Carlos.
Carlos and Danielle met in Scenes to Steal the Heart. In the "Final Act" we see a woman who comes to grip with how her past was and is just that. A man who is able to finally get past his demons and the hype of noteriety that keeps him on edge to finding love. The story has drama and intrigue. A father who has to come to grips with the fact his daughter is woman with desires and needs. A freind who has found her soul mate and shares in the joy of her best friend finding hers.
There are twists with the stalker who is after either Carlos or Danielle.( I will not give away that tidbit) But, it does bring together a story that had left me guessing. Quick read and I stiil think Ms. Lawson is a great author.
